The Manager of Mechanical Engineering
will be responsible for ensuring mining equipment and infrastructure
operates safely at specified efficiency and in accordance
with relevant legislative and statutory requirements.

of Mechanical Engineering at one of their underground coal
mines on the South Coast of New South Wales. For the successful
candidate, this will be a unique and exciting roll to be
a part team involved in the expansion of existing operations
into a world class 4Mtpa mine.
The position will have overall statutory and mechanical engineering responsibility for the mine. This includes safety, engineering strategy and financial management of the Dept. The role reports to the Mine Manager.
Applicants must have the following:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer, or 2 years as a Manager of Mechanical Engineering in an underground mine;
- Supervisory or management experience
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong communication skills
- Tertiary qualification, degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or similar;
- Mechanical Certificate of Competency from the Department of Mineral Resources.
